Common questions

An app I chose isn’t being blocked

Glasshour blocks apps through Screen Time, so it needs that permission. Open the iOS Settings app, check that Screen Time is on and that Glasshour is allowed, then open Glasshour again. If it shows that blocking needs repair, follow its prompt.

Some apps can’t be blocked by any app, because iOS doesn’t allow it. Phone calls are never blocked.

Why did the alarm go off during a Focus session?

A Focus session only counts while the phone stays put down and Glasshour stays open. If you pick the phone up or switch to another app, a short alarm plays. Put the phone back, or return to Glasshour, before it ends and the session carries on. Otherwise that session doesn’t earn time.

How do I cancel my membership?

Memberships are managed by Apple. In the iOS Settings app, tap your name → Subscriptions → Glasshour → Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from Settings inside Glasshour. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

How do I restore my purchase on a new or reset phone?

Open Glasshour → Settings → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Your membership comes back straight away.

Your balance, history and blocked-app list stay on the old phone: they are never backed up or synced, so you’ll set them up again.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all App Store payments, so only Apple can issue refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the Glasshour purchase.

How do I delete my data?

Everything you set up lives only on your iPhone. Use Settings → Complete local-data reset in the app, or delete the app. For anything else, including the anonymous usage data described in the Privacy Policy, email us and we’ll act on it within 30 days.

Does Glasshour work on iPad or Mac?

Not yet. Glasshour is made for iPhone.
